To mark Clean Air Day for Blue Skies 2025, Air Aware Labs has announced the launch of Cleaner Routes, a major new featurewithin the AirTrack app. The update provides real-time, hyper-local, and personalised route suggestions based on air pollution exposure—empowering users to choose healthier ways to move through their cities.

Whether walking to work, running in the park, or cycling across town, Cleaner Routes identifies paths with lower pollution levels, helping users reduce their daily exposure to harmful pollutants like PM2.5 and N02. The new feature builds on AirTrack’s mission to personalise air quality data and make invisible risks visible in day-to-day life.

Poor air quality remains a critical health crisis—responsible for over 8 million deaths globally each year, and the second leading cause of death worldwide after high blood pressure. Yet until now, most people have lacked the tools to make informed decisions about their own exposure during everyday activities

MJ, an AirTrack user, shared: “It’s proper science. The data is so helpful – the visual maps and stats make it easy to see which routes have cleaner air. It’s helped me understand air pollution during my runs and adjust the route or timing to reduce my exposure.”
