Why air quality matters

The air you train in shapes how you perform

Runners, cyclists, and endurance athletes push their bodies harder than most, which means they're taking in more of whatever's in the air around them too.

AirTrack in use
10–20×

More air through your
lungs per minute running
than sitting still.

~1.5%

Slower race times
for runners training
in higher PM2.5.

46%

Of the world lives where
PM2.5 eats into the health
benefits of exercise.

Up to 30%

Lower exposure on the same run,
just by shifting your route or your
start time. That's the part you control.

How it works

From your workout to your air quality, automatically

1

Download and sign up

AirTrack securely connects to Garmin Connect. You authorise the connection once. AirTrack only requests the permissions it needs to read your activities.

2

See your activity automatically

As soon as your run, ride, or walk syncs to Garmin Connect, AirTrack picks it up, no need to open the app.

3

Get cleaner routes and times

Over time, AirTrack learns which routes and times tend to be cleanest, and suggests better options for next time.
