Air Aware Labs takes an aerial view

Welcome to the forty-sixth edition of our newsletter, as we hold the latest of of strategy sessions with our advisers and investors, and start testing our latest product. This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products.
In all our strategic discussions, one challenge is how air pollution affects everyone and is linked to so many sectors. We know that just particulate matter pollution takes 1.9 years off the average life, but also that this average varies hugely depending on where you live and work, and whether you have particular conditions. We also typically connect into both health and environmental sectors, but with our core AI development, we also fit into the mould of a tech and data company. This makes our strategic prioritisation a challenge, albeit one that we welcome! We continue to focus our efforts on health and fitness sectors, as we believe these can bring the biggest impact. Please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Meet the partner
We are running a series of spotlights on the many people and organisations who have supported our journey so far. This week, we are meeting Abigail Whitehouse, Senior Clinical Lecturer in Children's Environmental Health at Queen Mary University of London and Barts Health NHS Trust. Abi says: "As a clinical academic specialising in paediatric respiratory medicine, each day offers the unique chance to directly improve the lives of children dealing with asthma and other respiratory challenges, while also shaping the future of care through  research and collaborative action. The work goes far beyond my asthma clinic walls, my role spans from treating young patients to leading research projects, sitting on scientific panels, and contributing to committees dedicated to advancing children's health. After completing clinical academic training, including a PhD focused on how pollution affects lung cell development in London’s children, my efforts have stayed firmly pointed towards making the air children breathe, both inside and outside their homes, cleaner and safer.
"One exciting frontier comes through the partnership with Air Aware Labs, where integrating increasingly personalised exposure data sheds new light on how environment and health interact for every child. Programs like Air Track promise to add even richer layers of real-world data into ongoing research studies, helping us better explore how targeted interventions can make a measurable difference for vulnerable individuals and communities. Being able to collaborate on these projects means harnessing new technology to bring cutting-edge solutions into clinical practice and public health, moving towards a future where cleaner air and healthier lungs are realities for all children."
