Air Aware Labs goes European

Welcome to the sixty-eighth edition of our newsletter, as we work with European Athletics Championships, build up work with Garmin and TrainingPeaks and summarise our top supporters for the year! This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products.
Wildfires have been burning across the world this summer. While immediate risk to life and property is top of mind, a recent study showed that the impact has been underestimated by 93%, due to resultant wide-spread air pollution. University of Manchester published research this year showing even staying inside is unlikely to protect from the risks. And travellers are facing confusion over whether to cancel visits and whether their insurance would cover it. At Air Aware Labs, we detect wildfires via satellite heat observations, with their emissions and dispersion feeding into our model. Please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Hot off the press
- this week we have been providing live air quality data for the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham via our digital twin. Every athlete also has access to AirTrack Premium and spectators can use AirTrack to plan low pollution routes to the stadium. This is an exciting third athletics engagement for us following the London Marathon and Diamond League!
- we've been continuing our outreach throughout the summer! We were delighted to work with TrainingPeaks on an article about how air pollution affects athletic performance. And we've appeared on the Social Progress Podcast and been part of a BusinessGreen article on the Double London Marathon next year
- we've submitted everything for our Garmin integration and are excited to see this go live shortly!

Meet the team
This edition, we are re-introducing our wider team. We are delighted to have worked with Arcanys now for over a year and a half. Daniel Catindoy and Roy Evangelista work on a daily basis with our CTO Sacha Manson-Smith, while Rhea Vilbar - Oplado, PMP®, PMI-ACP®, Kenneth Ruelan and Teodora Georgieva work with us on specific functions. This is all supported by our investors Arcanys Ventures, in particular Alan Debonneville and Fred Joye. This team has been an integral part of how we have moved so rapidly.
Many of our advisers have been with us since the start, including David Janner-Klausner (he/him), Helen Stewart, Yiqun Han, Adesola Adebowale, Dan Hardy, Zhenghong Liu and Tom Maverley. More recently they have been joined by Michael Pan and Agniprotim Sen. Many of our investors also act as advisers, including Ksenia Fortin-Brazeau, Zackarie Fortin-Brazeau, Richard Coates, Adrian Hooper, Kitty Harris, Gideon Lyons and Michael Norton. We've worked with a number of mentors over time and are currently supported by Véronique Rapetti and Jason Loo. All these people play a huge role in helping us land commercially and fine-tuning our strategy.
