Air Aware Labs builds up to International Clean Air Day

Welcome to the sixty-ninth edition of our newsletter, as we launch our Garmin integration, enhance our branding and build up to International Clean Air Day on 7 September! This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products.
Last week saw a major new study released by Queen Mary University of London. The Children's Health in London and Luton (CHILL) study recruited primary school children to compare their lung function over five years. With the lead researchers quoted as saying they were "stunned" by the results, they found that London children's lung growth accelerated during the period to 'catch up' with the control group in Luton, as the Ultra-Low Emission Zone was rolled out in London. This is the clearest demonstration that reduction in exposure can not only protect against future ill health, but can potentially reverse previous damage. It is this exposure awareness and reduction that we aim to bring at Air Aware Labs, including our work on pregnancy. Please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Meet the team
This edition we are meeting Wing Yi Leung who will start working with us as a Business Development Intern. Wing Yi says: "I've just completed my MSc in Economics and Strategy for Business at Imperial, and I've always been interested in working in roles where human behaviour is taken into consideration when devising strategies for growth and innovation.
"I'm excited to learn more about how a fast growing health-tech startup like Air Aware Labs scales, applying my skills and experiences from strategic communications and consulting projects in the process. Outside of work, I'm a coffee enthusiast, where I taught myself latte art and coffee brewing skills to elevate my morning cups. Looking forward to making the most out of this internship experience and connecting with the wider team!"
