Air Aware Labs cleans up!

Welcome to the thirty-eighth edition of our newsletter, as we launch a beta version of Low Pollution Route optimiser in time for Clean Air Day! This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products. And we now have 800 valued subscribers!
Yesterday was Clean Air Day in the UK: the focus of the campaign was on the health impacts of air pollution, and how health professionals can engage. It seems every day a new study comes out with emerging evidence on the impacts on our health - whether that is cardiovascular disease, mental health, pregnancy risks and insulin resistance - all studies published in the last month. On the other hand, scientists are uncovering potential mitigations, including an enzyme that could reduce the impact on lung tissue. And this new report calculates the health gains of addressing air pollution. Given the immense effect of air pollution on our health, we aim to bring tools to help everyone address it. Please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Meet the team
This week we are meeting Annika Budhwani our new intern. Annika says says: "I am undergraduate student at UC Berkeley pursuing degrees in Economics and English. I have a background in market research, idea development, and tailoring growth strategies to support community initiatives, with a lot of experience in both volunteering and supporting non-profits.
"I look forward to further advancing these skills at Air Aware Labs and contributing to a healthier society through meaningful solutions and innovation. Clean air is a necessity—one that, unfortunately, many people do not have knowledge about or access to. Through marketing AirTrack and supporting updates to make the app more accessible, I hope to support Air Aware’s mission of publicising air quality data for all, so that everyone can understand how their environment affects their health."
