On 23 January 2026 we hit two years old!

Two years ago, we decided to tackle a problem that felt too big to solve: air pollution.

It started with a concerned parent in South London and a scientist at Imperial College who both realised that the data we need to stay healthy was "invisible."

We wanted to change that.

From our first Strava integration to supporting a community across 100 countries, the journey has been about one thing: giving you the power to choose the air you breathe.

Air quality and world population: what the numbers tell us

This Saturday, 11 July, marks World Population Day, a UN observance held each year on the anniversary of the day the world's population reached five billion in 1987. This year's theme, set by UNFPA, is "Realizing the hopes and aspirations of young people – today and for the future," a fitting moment to look at how population and air quality intersect, since young people are among those most affected by the air they grow up breathing.
