Helping #TeamBreathe runners understand their air pollution exposure

Air quality matters even more when you have asthma or a lung condition. It can affect how a run feels, when you choose to train, and whether you feel confident exercising outdoors. Ahead of the London Landmarks Half Marathon, Air Aware Labs gave Asthma + Lung UK’s #TeamBreathe runners access to AirTrack Premium. The idea was to help runners see the pollution they were actually exposed to on their own training routes, not just a general air quality score for London.

Two years ago, we decided to tackle a problem that felt too big to solve: air pollution.

It started with a concerned parent in South London and a scientist at Imperial College who both realised that the data we need to stay healthy was "invisible."

We wanted to change that.

From our first Strava integration to supporting a community across 100 countries, the journey has been about one thing: giving you the power to choose the air you breathe.

Watch the video to hear the full story of how we grew from a personal mission into Air Aware Labs.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
