Air Aware Labs launches AirTrack app

Welcome to the thirty-third edition of our newsletter, as we celebrate the anniversary of our Strava integration, get listed as one of London's fastest growing start ups and prepare to launch our mobile app on Monday! This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products.
Air pollution has been unusually high across the UK and Europe this winter. Local sources combined with shifting weather patterns – including stagnant air, high pressure, dry conditions and low wind – have trapped pollutants closer to the ground, limiting dispersion. Additional pollution transported from near the continent has further compounded the issue. In our Air Aware blog, we took a deep dive into this concerning trend, analysing data from local monitoring and personal AirTrack feeds. The results show a worrying number of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) breaches of the WHO daily guidelines - around 50% of days each month - a sharp rise compared to the same period last year, which was significantly wetter. To stay on top of the latest air pollution affecting you, please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Meet the team
This week, we are pleased to reintroduce Helen Stewart. Helen has been an integral part of Air Aware Labs' journey, serving on our advisory board over the past year, and recently joining as an investor during our latest funding round. With 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Helen brings a wealth of commercial expertise and a proven track record in developing and scaling innovative technologies that drive meaningful change. She is eager to leverage this experience to support our mission and accelerate the commercialisation of its groundbreaking solutions.
Reflecting on her involvement, Helen shares: “Having worked closely with Louise and Will over the past year, I’ve been impressed by their remarkable progress and the strides they’ve made in such an undefined space. While everyone understands that air pollution is detrimental to long-term health, patients, physicians, and providers still lack the tools to monitor and reduce exposure. Air Aware Labs is tackling this challenge head-on, and I’m confident in the founding team’s ability to navigate uncertainty and deliver a transformative impact on global health.”
