Air Aware Labs launches Cleaner Routes

Welcome to the forty-fourth edition of our newsletter, as we launch our much-in-demand feature and get accepted onto new programmes. This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products.
While our Cleaner Routes feature does what you would expect - help you to optimise your route for lower pollution - we are also bringing our data to bear to help users plan times for their activities to reduce exposure. For international Clean Air Day last Sunday we looked at exposure levels for London-based AirTrackers. One key finding was they reduced exposure to pollution by 25% by undertaking activities at the weekend. Our round up of media coverage is here, hot on the heels of our piece about the story of Air Aware Labs in Start the Business magazine. To make sure our insights help you live a healthier life, please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Hot off the press
- who would attempt a product launch on a Sunday? Well - us! In honour of International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on 7 September, we launched our Cleaner Route tool in AirTrack. This allows users to optimise their routes for cleanest air. We know that choosing cleaner routes for exercise and commutes can reduce pollution exposure by 20% or potentially more, but so far the tools to do this have been few. Thank you to everyone who supported our launch!
- on the same day, we surpassed 200,000 activities logged through our AirTrack product. This is a huge milestone for us! As a global product, we are also taking the opportunity to highlight how AirTrack can be used by travellers, in maiden-voyage.com's latest expert blog
- we got two pieces of great news this week. We have been shortlisted in the Santander X awards and been accepted onto the Mountside Ventures Venture Forward programme - both highly competitive and exciting to be part of for the next few months.

Meet the partner
We are starting a series of spotlights on the many people and organisations who have supported our journey so far. This week we are meeting Ben Brabyn. Ben is an entrepreneur and ecosystem builder. He founded, built and sold one of the world's first crowdfunding platforms, and has since created ecosystems for public, private and academic organisations. He led Level39, Europe's largest Fintech ecosystem, from 2016 to 2020. He specialises in helping organisations tap into the networks that accelerate their growth. Through AmityPath he helps people build their professional networks and solve global challenges.
Ben says: "I first heard about Air Aware Labs from Adrian Jones at Pivot Labs. In 2023 I had begun a monthly Walkabout in Green Park, and began using AirTrack to track the air quality of these monthly walks. In the two years since it started, Walkabout has grown to more than 30 towns and cities, and I continue to track the air quality of the Walkabouts I attend in London, around the UK and internationally, while encouraging others to choose their routes and the timings of their walks to benefit from the best air quality."
