Air Aware Labs hits Italy

Welcome to the fifty-fifth edition of our newsletter, as we start a pan-European programme and continue to push towards our release of AirCoach, with 24-hour tracking! This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products. And we have now hit both 3000 AirTrackers on our product and 3000 followers on Linked In!
The scientific output on air pollution is hitting new heights. One article by James Gallagher which showed the direct impact of particulates on blood cells has made its mark in the UK. Meanwhile we spotted two new studies that really caught our eye - one on integrating human mobility data and the other on personalising pollution data and impacts. These support the themes from our December Annual Report, which we've summarised across: correlated metrics between air pollution and health, and on the other hand, variation depending on activity type, season and global location. We created Air Aware Labs to take the scientific lab into people's pockets and onto their wrists. Please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Hot off the press
- we have been selected for the pan-European Impact Deal which supports high-potential organisations that combine innovation with measurable social and environmental impact with exclusive data access, tailored mentorship, investment opportunities and strategic partnerships - above is our Chief Scientist attending the opening night!
- we've added new visualisations on our website, showing how our global community of AirTrackers are affected by air pollution levels - we would love feedback
- as Project Salt Run finishes their epic trip across India, we have been raising awareness with our air pollution maps and analysis.

Meet the investor
We are starting a series of spotlights on the investors that have come into our agile round. This edition, we are meeting Michael Norton. Michael says: "I am a social innovator, social entrepreneur, founder and director of Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action, a charity which promotes and supports social innovators. I am also an impact investor with a portfolio of investments in impact-first enterprises looking to generate social or environmental good.
"Recognising the importance of clean air for the health and wellbeing of people, I decided to invest in Air Aware Labs, but also because of my previous interaction with the Air Quality Index, a leading and successful Chinese social enterprise."
