Air Aware Labs aims high

Welcome to the sixty-fourth edition of our newsletter, as we get ready to launch our A to B cleaner route planning feature, get selected to pitch in multiple competitions and plan exciting events for Clean Air Day and London Climate Action Week. This newsletter is aimed at investors, collaborators, future hires and early adopters of our products.
This week we have been looking at how air pollution interacts with high blood pressure. Hypertension is the biggest risk to health worldwide, while air pollution is the second - so understanding the links between the two is important. Short term exposure to air pollution triggers an immediate spike in systolic and diastolic blood pressure levels. Overtime, however, long-term continuous exposure can lead to a complete structural change in the arteries permanently increasing arterial resistance and overall baseline pressure. It is this combination of short-term exposure reduction and long-term prevention that we aim to address at Air Aware Labs. Please join us on our mission - Personalising Air Quality, for everyone.

Hot off the press
- on UK Clean Air Day, we launched the beta testing for our A to B route planning feature. This is something we get requests for regularly from users - the ability to plan a cleaner route in advance. Shout if you'd like to be part of the testing! We hope to launch it fully very soon
- we've been selected to pitch at Reset Connect on Tuesday in the AI category. We are also in a hot competition for £10k price in the online pitch - please vote for us, with huge thanks to everyone who has voted so far! And on Wednesday night next week we are up for two awards at the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA) annual ceremony in Parliament
- we've been at Vivatech in Paris meeting collaborators and investors, and pitched at Leeds Angel group and Tech South West event. If you can't see us in person, you can listen to this podcast with our CEO on the Chief Uncensored. And we took an hour out to play pickleball amongst the UK team!

Meet the team
This edition, we are re-introducing Lía Budnik, our marketing and communications lead. Lía says: "It's hard to believe it's been a year and a half since I joined Air Aware Labs as its first employee. The past few months have been particularly full, with London Marathon events, Clean Air Day campaigns, app launches, and new partnerships, all reflecting the energy and progress across the company. It's been a privilege to be part of a team that continues to push boundaries and grow together.
"As we continue to evolve, I'm excited to help shape how we communicate and position AirTrack, making sure our brand, messaging, and product experience feel consistent and intentional across everything we do. I want to clearly articulate the value of what we're building: a new approach to air quality that brings together innovation, technology, and movement, and turns it into something people can actively use to improve their health and daily lives."
